Rajesh Mirchandani is currently the Midlands Correspondent for BBC news, reporting on major stories for national tv and radio. In recent months he has brought audiences the latest developments on the collpase of MG Rover, Birmingham's postal vote-rigging scandal and the aftermath of the trial into the Aston shootings. For 3 years he presented Backstage on Radio 1 - the first Asian to host a mainstream show on Britain's premier pop music channel. Rajesh has had 10 years experience in the media, a hugely varied career, encompassing Newsnight, Radio 1 breakfast show, Tomorrows world & Glastonbury. In 2000 he was the narrator of Made in Britain, a series of programmes based around London Fashion week, and he even presented working in education, a six part series for BBC Two’s learning zone. .
