Monder Ram is Professor of Small Business and Director of creme. He is also the Director of the Small Business and Enterprise Research Group (SBERG) at De Montfort University. He has extensive experience of working in, researching, and acting as a consultant to ethnic minority businesses. He is a leading authority on ethnic minority entrepreneurship, and has published widely on the subject. Monder has held four ESRC awards and a grant from the Leverhulme Trust He is also a Director of the Institute of Small Business Affairs and was appointed to the Government's Small Business Council last year. He is also a member of the DTI's Ethnic Minority Business Advisory Forum and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
