Sufyan Ismail founded 1st Ethical, the UK's first ever firm of specialist Islamic tax advisors, in 2001. The last 4 years has seen 1st Ethical rise from a local enterprise to one of the top 100 firms of tax planners in the UK, a phenomenal success story of innovation and forward thinking. In recognition of 1st Ethical's outstanding success, the firm has picked up a number of prestigious awards over the past few years which include the, "Shell Livewires fastest growing business and Entrepreneur of the year" amongst others. The national team which currently numbers 20 has plans to reach 50 by 2008. 1st Ethical's footprint of services has also grown to encompass bespoke tax mitigation solution for FTSE 300 companies. The company has spent a considerable amount of time developing its own charitable trust which has been used to build wells in India, provide burial facilities in Zambia and provide earthquake relief to Pakistan.
