| Vijay Sharma is head of the BBC Asian Network a Digital Radio Station which was launched in 2002. Within the BBC Vijay's career has expanded from being an Education producer, Senior Broadcast Journalist, Editor of a Regional station in the Midlands to the Managing Editor of a national Asian Network which is based in Leicester, London and Birmingham. In her current role, Vijay is responsible for leading a staff of 100 with a vast programme budget and carries the challenging effort of making the Asian Network the home of British Asian music, championing Asian artists, sharp journalism and recruiting and developing talent. |
