| Amjad is recognised in the Royal Navy both as a dynamic leader who imbues his team with energy and enthusiasm, and as one of the most innovative thinkers. His recent achievements include producing the first integrated strategic and financial plan for the Ministry of Defence's combined investment programme of over £75 Billion, He ran the UK's foremost surface ship base, a site employing up to 20,000 personnel, had Operational Command of the 1300 Naval specialist firefighters. In September this year, Amjad Hussain will be promoted to Rear Admiral - a role that includes membership of the Main Board of the Royal Navy, and will be the first member from a visible ethnic minority to have reached such a rank in the UK Armed Forces. |
