When Hafiz Muhammed Yaqoob left Pakistan more thatn 50 years ago little did he know he would become the pioneer of the Halal food industry in the UK.
He was the first Muslim businessman to set up in Birmingham Wholesale Market selling True Halal products, nationwide. He established the National Halal Food Group, creating retail outlets 'National Halal Centre's' which have been recognised by Tesco Stores through the opening of the first Halal concession within their Tesco Extra store in Slough. A historical breakthrough for a small British Muslim Company
National Halal have also launched the first Halal on-line home delivery service, available nationwide. All National Halal products offer an open book policy on transparency and traceability.
He serves the community by being the Founder Trustee of Birmingham Central Mosque and has contributed to many charities over the years.
