Ahmed Randeree Executive Chairman of The DCD Group They say that the first impression is the last impression and this stands true of Ahmed Randeree - a man admired by many for his business acumen, strong entrepreneurial ability and extensive charitable works. His amicable manners, insight, and talent to assess the need, be it of an individual, company or society has no parallel in the experience of many who have dealt with him. He is a family man. The personality goes beyond the head of household role, to considerate son, loving husband, and a caring father. He nurtures the individual to seek self fulfilment in aspiring to achieve, both academically and personally. On the business side, Mr Ahmed Randeree is the founder and has served as Executive Chairman of The DCD Group, including DCD London & Mutual PLC . Historically, DCD and its associated holdings were primarily involved in Trade Finance, Apparel Import and Export, Property and Venture Capital. Having moved from South Africa to the UK in the mid 1970's, Mr Randeree was instrumental in growing the groups Apparel and Trade Finance business. These businesses operated throughout the UK, Southern Africa and the Far East. Mr Randeree presided over the group when its turnover and operations grew from USD2.5 million in 1977 to over USD150 million by 1998. Recently, Mr Randeree has supported the business expansion into Real Estate, Asset Management and identifying niche Banking investments. Mr Randeree was instrumental in the setting up of Bank Islami with Dubai Bank and Jahangir Siddiqui & Co and he serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Bank, listed on the KSE. Over the past 5 years in the UK, the DCD Group were founder shareholders in IBB (Islamic Bank of Britain plc ) and EIIB ( European Islamic Investment Bank plc), both of whom are listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Group also has a significant holding in Albaraka Bank Ltd of South Africa.
