Rishma Dattani joined the University of Wolverhampton as a Lecturer in Economics in 1989 and has since successfully progressed up the career path with the support of her parents and husband. In 2005 She was appointed Associate Dean in the Business School, which at the time made her one of the youngest; she is also the onlyAsian woman in a senior position within the University. Rishma feels priveledged and humbled to be part of the process where young adults, a number who are first generation into HE, enter University and progress through their degrees gaining confidence and maturity, and finally graduate.
