Zuffar is a businessman who has lived in Leicestershire for many years and has campaigned successfully on health issues in the area. He has worked tirelessly for charity and has founded his own International Medical Aid Appeal. Zuffar has been a vice-chair of Crimestoppers in the local area and is particularly concerned about the causes of crime and the impact on victims. He fought Leicester West for the Lib Dems at the 2005 general election. At the same election the Lib Dems finished second in Harborough, 3892 votes behind the winning Conservative.
