Adeeba Malik is Deputy Chief Executive of QED-UK. Highly respected and recognised for her achievements locally, regionally and nationally, she has held many Ministerial and other public appointments. In addition to QED-UK she has also been on the Boards of many mainstream ‘public bodies’; often organisations with highly challenging policy remits where quite often she has been the ‘first Asian’. She has held several board level Ministerial appointments across a wide range of areas. She was appointed by Sec. of State at DTI in April 2005 (subsequently DBERR) to Chair the National Ethnic Minority Business Forum, the first Asian to do so. This was her longest, most challenging and highest profile role until she stood down in October 2008. In this role she reported directly to ministers and Secretaries of State. Adeeba has won the confidence of many community organisations, senior officials, Ministers and Secretaries of State. Her senior level influence has and continues to shape agendas on many national policy issues.
